Why won't ImageViewer accept my password, I've already registered?
ImageViewer version 4.33 and earlier, used a password method that required a seperate password for each machine it was used on. Although additional passwords are free, this created quite a hassle for registered users. As of version 4.4, you will choose your own username and the associated password will be valid across machines. I trust that the majority of users will welcome this change and respect the fact that registration is for a single user.

How can I know when new versions of ImageViewer are available?
In the future, I hope to email registered users when a new version is released. Currently, the best way to know about new versions, is to check www.imageviewer.com.
Why does ImageViewer crash after I scroll through images in a catalog view?
ImageViewer version 4.33 had a bug in the icon creation code. Memory was lost after each icon was created. If preferences were set to make custom icons, scrolling in catalog views could quickly drop available memory to a low level. Ideally, ImageViewer shouldn't crash under low memory situations, but under certain circumstances it will. This "memory leak" bug has been fixed in version 4.4.
Why does ImageViewer crash or hang when it tries to open certain JPEG files that can be opened with other applications?
ImageViewer relies on QuickTimeｪ to compress and decompress JPEG files. Overall, it works fine, however, there are problems with certain files where QuickTime will hang-up or crash. In these cases, nothing can be done to elegantly continue.
Can I translate groups of files form one file type to another?
Yes. Use the Batch feature to translate file types or perform other actions on the files.
Can I search the file list based on keywords or comments?
No. Currently, ImageViewer can only build sub-lists based on selection. A future release will allow this capability.
